Stargasm | Light in Places is an aerial performance featuring a laser light display, emanating from Empress Stah's nether regions.
Created in collaboration with cult musician Peaches, the act is both visceral spectacle and a visual ode to the light within.
Lyrics including "All Humans Free at Last, so much Beauty coming out of my Arse", place the performance in the realm of the arcane rather than the obscene.
The act was originally created as part of a solo show 'Empress Stah in Space', which was commissioned by the SPILL Festival of Performance, funded by the Arts Council of England, supported by Queen Mary University and Directed by Ron Athey.
The act was performed in the Royal Festival Hall, London, as part of the Peaches touring show ‘There’s Only One Peach with a Hole in the Middle’, as well as appearing at events for Elton John, Red Bull and Pacha Ibiza.
